In August, Heeb’s Fresh Market will host its 11th annual fundraising BBQ to benefit the Bozeman Public Library. This long standing tradition brings the community together for a delicious lunch and a great cause.
Mitch and Sherri Bradley generously began hosting the BBQ shortly after they purchased Heeb’s in 2008. “I feel the Library is such an important part of our community and serves a large spectrum of the population. It provides so many resources for people that make individual lives better,” says Mitch. Over the years, funds raised from the BBQ have supported children’s and adult programming, provided park benches, staff training, Music on the Green, and much more at the Library.
The BBQ is a signature event for the east end of Main Street each summer. All food, products, and cooking are donated by Heeb’s and the event is staffed by Library Foundation board members so every dollar raised goes directly to support the Library. “I very much look forward to this event because of the great staff and volunteers. They are fun, energetic, bright people. It has a great community feel. The Bozeman area is a wonderful place to live and I feel fortunate that I do,” says Mitch.
So what’s for lunch this year? Mitch is looking forward to serving cheese burgers, Beer Baron brats, potato chips, Reser’s salads, soft drinks & water, and hoping to debut ice cream sandwiches too!
“Heeb’s has been a wonderful neighbor since the Library opened here in 2006. We are honored and grateful for their continued support,” says Janay Johnson, Director of the Bozeman Public Library Foundation.
2019 will mark a change of venue for the Heeb’s fundraising BBQ. The event will be held on Friday, August 16th from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm on the Library front lawn. Bring your appetite!
